Pay attention, you won’t want to miss this! A new and exciting ice cream shop is opening on January 5th at Dominion Ridge, San Antonio. SubZero Ice Cream in San Antonio is here to change the way you think about ice cream. Instead of making it the boring old-fashioned way, they create a quicker, more efficient, and certainly more flavorful ice cream using science.

How It’s Made

Using liquid nitrogen, it instantly blasts and freezes the flavor of your choice at -321 degrees Fahrenheit. You won’t find any freezers in their shop and no nasty ice crystals lingering in your ice cream. It’ll be the smoothest, creamiest, and freshest ice cream you’ll ever put in your mouth!

Curious about Nitrogen?

It’s odorless, colorless, and also tasteless so rest assured it won’t change the flavor of your ice cream. It’s absolutely non-toxic and even makes up about 3% of your body weight!

Dietary Restrictions

But wait, it gets even better. For any special dietary or allergy restrictions, they will cater specifically to you. Whether it’s vegan, lactose-free, gluten-free, or reduced sugar, you can have it any way you’d like it.

Menu Options

On their menu, you’ll find a ‘sensation’ section filled with suggested flavor combination and mix-ins ready for you to try. Some examples include Magnetic Mint, Birthday Cake Capacitor, and Tropical Turbine. If none of the ‘sensation’ items strike your fancy, choose from dozens of other flavors. Last but not least, choose your mix-ins which include a variety of candy, fruits, baked goods, and nuts.

You’ve probably seen the popular show, Shark Tank. Well, the owners of SubZero were featured on the show in 2013 and even though they didn’t score a deal, they impressed the sharks and have continued on with growing success ever since then by opening franchises across the U.S.
