The clock strikes 3.30 and suddenly, your whole day is over. Exhaustion seeps in, your eyes are heavy, the yawning starts, and your energy hits an all time low. If you are experiencing this during your work day, you are most likely suffering from the symptoms of what we like to call, 3.30itis. It’s dreaded all over the world, and we are guessing 100% of people suffer from it regularly. In case you are not catching on, 3.30itis is basically just attributed to being super tired, bored, or exhausted at work around 3.30pm each day. It’s real, and we know it. We have researched, we have explored, and we have conquered 3.30itis. Here is your answer to 3.30itis with Dominion Ridge:

1. Get Up And Walk Around

Tip numero uno. Don’t stay sitting at your desk all day. Get up, walk around, get some fresh air, have your lunch outside. Whatever you do, give your brain and your body a break. Our bodies probably hate us if we sat at our desks all day every day without any such movement. Although some of us are sloths at heart (all of us), we do need to move around every hour or so.

2. Snack On Healthy Items During The Day

One of the main factors with 3.30itis is sugar cravings. We always recommend snacking throughout the day on HEALTHY snacks that will limit your sugar cravings at the end of the day. Healthy snack options are:

  • Blueberries
  • Nuts
  • Mozzarella String Cheese on Wholegrain Crackers (Please note, if you eat these things everyday and in big amounts, they are not deemed a healthy snack)
  • Apples
  • Hummus

3. Have A Big, Nutritious Breakfast

One of the biggest causes of 3.30itis is not having a big enough breakfast. A nutritional one at that too! Start your day with wholegrain bread, natural muesli, Greek yogurt, and your 3.30itis will be a distant memory! We hope you have found your answer to 3.30itis.

**TIP: If you have yogurt or smoothies for breakfast, sprinkle a little bit of cinnamon in them to help with cravings throughout the day!
